FOCUS on Maximizing Your Neurofeedback Therapy

Lightbulb_brainChances are that Neurofeedback is not a foreign term for you. After thirty years of research and proven results, neurofeedback is again gaining the respect that it deserves as a non-chemical, non-invasive treatment for an array of conditions. People with PTSD, ADD/ADHD, memory loss, anxiety, sleep disturbances, memory issues, and brain fog, to name a few, have seen relief of symptoms with neurofeedback; combine this with dietary and lifestyle changes and the results are amplified to a greater extent. Capitalizing on your neurofeedback progress is now even easier with an adjunct Focus unit from The Clear Mind Center of Boulder.

Most people live in a hectic world driven by instant gratification, over booked hours in the day, and interrupted sleep patterns. While one or more of these may be contributing to some of the symptoms of reduced brain power and focus problems, they may also impede obtaining treatment. Full schedules likely hinder the ability for one to find time to receive neurofeedback 2-4 times a week at The Clear Mind Center of Boulder. The Focus unit is a small, pre-programmed neurofeedback unit that is leased out to a client committed to retraining his/her brain, who has had a brain map in our office. The Focus unit is designed to enhance the learning capabilities of the brain. By reiterating the same frequencies provided in the clinical neurofeedback sessions with specialized lighted glasses and specific tones, the brain learns quicker which waves it should be producing for a more cohesive relief of symptoms. The portability of the Focus unit allows it to be used at home during everyday activities so there is little to no interruption in one’s daily routine.

The Focus unit is not limited to what are typically thought of as mind-based symptoms. It can also be used to relieve pain. This may sound a farfetched, but not when it is understood that the perception of pain is generated in the brain. Instead of a person taking pain receptor blocking agents (i.e. opioids such as hydrocodone and oxycodone), using a specific frequency on the Focus unit has shown a marked reduction in pain. For people with limited range of motion due to the level of pain, manipulation of a joint while using this same protocol has increased range of motion for some. In one compact Focus unit, a client of The Clear Mind Center of Boulder can begin to open up the mind, body, and energy that has been locked away inside the brain. Let us use our expertise to assist you in reaching your goals of a healthy you.
